Print Care

You may have noticed some extremely bossy stickers on your parcel. Read on to find out why!

How should I have my unframed print framed?

I recommend having your print framed by a professional framer to ensure its longevity. All prints – and especially large format prints – benefit from being dry mounted to prevent the paper from rippling over time. It's also really important that the surface of the print doesn't touch the glass of your frame, so choose an acid free matt or have your framer use a spacer.

My print arrived! I want to look at it now! Why can't I open it till I'm at the framers?

The surface of the print is super duper delicate and will mark or smudge if scraped or touched – one printer I worked with wouldn't even let me sign them unless the printed surface was covered with acid free paper!

The best way to ensure that your print isn't damaged before it's framed is to wait until your professional framer can apply all of their many years of practice in opening and laying it out for you to review.

Trust me!

Editions

Editions can be a bit of a tricky thing to get your head around, as it seems there are no hard and fast rules and every artist has a different way of doing them.

You can view my complete philosophy on editions here.

What is a Timed Edition?

Timed Editions are available for purchase for a limited time. The number of the edition is set by the number of prints sold during that time – you could end up with an edition of 7 or 137! Timed Edition prints are available in a range of smaller format sizes. They are printed to order and followed at the completion date of the edition with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity.

Due to the finite nature of Timed Edition prints, they may have a tendency to increase in value.

Returns

I do my best to make sure everything goes smoothly, however sometimes things just don’t go according to plan! Here’s everything you need to know to get it fixed.

Changed your mind?

Due to the nature of the print-to-order process, your artwork is one of a kind and I can't accept returns if you simply change your mind. Many thanks in advance for your understanding.
